11-13 May 2018.
Old Truman Brewery,
London.

The Urban Tri is a unique 90-minute fitness challenge hosted by Balance Festival, consisting of three disciplines. The sessions are lead by some of London’s top trainers, influencers and instructors and take place in iconic locations around the city.

The first Urban Tri took place on Saturday 13 May 2017, in conjunction with the launch of Balance Festival. The event kicked off with a 25 minute HIIT session at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with five waves lead by some of London’s fiercest trainers: Zanna Van Dijk x Shona Vertue x Courtney Fearon, Leo Savage, trainer at Third Space, Boom Cycle instructors Anna Sinclair and Hannah Frankson, Jamie-Ray Hartshorne, trainer at Another Space, and Anthony Fletcher, trainer at Equinox Kensington. Track Mafia, London’s #MADNESS running crew, then led a 6km run from the Park to the Old Truman Brewery, where Boy of Yoga concluded the event with 30 minutes of restorative yoga.

Participants were then rewarded with post-workout nourishment from Urban Tri 2017 title sponsor Vega® and received a complimentary reusable Fill&Go Active Bottle from Urban Tri partners Brita.

Training Camps

The Urban Tri Training Camps are smaller Urban Tri sessions that provide an opportunity to prepare for the main Urban Tris with closer guidance and support from our trainers and fellow Urban triathletes. Taking place in various London locations throughout the year, they feature a unique combination of disciplines, including indoor cycling, running, yoga and/or HIIT. All profits raised through training camp ticket sales are donated to Project Waterfall.

The Cause

The Urban Tri is proud to support Project Waterfall, an initiative delivering clean drinking water to schools in African countries. Access to safe, clean water is a crucial step in breaking the poverty cycle. Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people each year than all forms of violence, including war. With your help, we can bring water into communities and help lift them out of poverty for good.

Each participant in the Urban Tri has the option to fundraise for Project Waterfall. 100% of your donation will go directly to our current project, bringing clean drinking water to over 120,000 boys and girls in schools across Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.

You can fundraise by setting up a Total Giving page or by making a one off donation online.

Do good, feel good.
