How To Make Your Home Workout-Ready
There are endless benefits to workout out at home. The ease and convenience means that, not only are you less likely to miss a session, you also never have to wait for your turn on equipment, you can skip the queue for the showers and workout whenever you feel like it without distraction. So, it only makes sense to create your own home workout space.

It’s true, kitting out your home with equipment can be a big investment but, with the guidance of Technogym, experts in luxury home fitness equipment, we’ve got some top tips to help you need to make it worthwhile.

1) Find the right space

Light, bright spaces with plenty of ventilation are ideal for working out. Look for an area that you feel comfortable in and that which won’t disturb others. This could be just a corner of your living room, your garage or a whole dedicated gym space.

2) Decide your budget

Creating a full home gym is a luxury. If your budget is tight, consider your goals. Gym memberships are often expensive and underused, but your home gym equipment will last for many years so the savings soon add up.

Finance options also make owning home gym equipment affordable: for example, for the same monthly cost of a London gym membership you can purchase a MyRun Technogym treadmill for £122 per month, and enjoy a whole library of in-built coaching programmes to help you reach your goal, improve your running technique with instant biofeedback, plus many more useful features.

3) Choose the right equipment

Whilst choosing home gym equipment depends on your favourite types of exercise and your personal goals, you should always aim to create a space in which you can achieve a well-rounded workout including cardio, strength and functional training. This is easier than it may first appear; for example, you can train all areas with one piece of cardio equipment such as Technogym’s Bike Forma, a pair of dumbbells and a mat.

4) Create an optimal atmosphere

Creating a pleasant, light space to work out is key. Mirrors are a great way to make the space seem bigger and help you keep an eye on your form. Good lighting and an appropriate colour scheme will also help make the area more appealing.

The look of the equipment is also important. Whilst gym equipment can often be industrial and bulky, Technogym designs look and feel great thanks to its Italian heritage. The luxurious Personal Line was designed in collaboration with interior designer, Antonio Citterio, to complement home furnishing.

5) Get inventive

One of the most effective ways to improve your health is to incorporate activity into your daily life by making small changes in your environment. Technogym’s Wellness Ball – Active Sitting is designed to keep you moving throughout the day, helping to improve your posture and core strength.
