Give your morning's some TLC with Almond Breeze's delicious Bircher Bowl Recipe. Once you go bircher, you'll never go back!
Ingredients
300ml Unsweetened Almond Breeze®
100g oats
20g sunflower seeds
40g sultanas
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 small apple, grated
Toppings
1 banana, sliced
1 spoonful of coconut yoghurt
Your favourite berries – blueberries, strawberries etc.
1 tbsp. of chia seeds
3 tbsp. Unsweetened Almond Breeze®
Method
In a bowl or small jar add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds & cover with 3 tablespoons of Almond Breeze®. Cover and leave in the fridge overnight. The chia seeds expand.
In a large glass jar with a lid (or a bowl that can be covered with cling film) add the oats, sunflower seeds, sultanas, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract and the grated apple. Pour over the Almond Breeze® and stir well. Place the lid on the jar and leave in the fridge overnight - ready for breakfast the next morning.
In the morning, spoon out the bircher into two bowls, add your favourite toppings - fresh fruit, a dollop of yoghurt and a spoonful of the soaked chia seeds.
