Meet 6 Wellness Brands Putting Purpose At The Heart Of Their Business

For forward-thinking brands at the dawn of the 2020s, finding your purpose has never been more powerful.

Wellness is now a way of life that goes far beyond looking after one’s personal wellbeing; caring about the world around us has become just as important.

In a survey of 1,536 people who attended Balance Festival in 2019, 67% said they tend to opt for brands that “do good” in the world, 66% have consciously reduced their meat consumption in the past year and over 70% are consciously trying to reduce both their carbon footprint and use of plastic.

Environmental sustainability, ethical eating and hyper-conscious living have never been more front and centre on the public agenda.

Customers now expect brands to behave as an extension of who they are. They want brands to embody their value system at every touchpoint of the customer journey.

While having previously gravitated towards companies that could demonstrate standing for values that matter to them, consumers now demand it in everything from the supermarkets they shop in and clothes they wear to the companies they invest in.

And the changemaking brands that drive the idea of purpose over – or at least alongside – profit will be the ones that thrive over the next decade.

Here we highlight six brands leading from the front who will be practising what they preach at Balance Festival 2020.
